2009 March Madness!
Basketball brackets are so “last year.” This year, I am sponsoring a NASA Mission Bracket pool. Which mission do YOU think is the best of all time? The 2009 March Mission Madness tourney pits 64 current and historical NASA missions in head-to-head competition.
Prizes:
Besides glory, the following prizes are available:
1st Place: Science Formative Assessment: 75 Formative Assessment Techniques by Page Keeley. This is my favorite practical teaching book for the year. Even though it has “science” in the title, the book has very practical teaching and assessment strategies that can be used in any subject at any grade level. Note: If you already own the book, I’ll substitute one of equal value!
2nd - 4th Place: Readings in Science Methods, K-8 by Eric Brunsell. Ok, so this book sounds really boring…but it isn’t. The book contains nearly 70 articles written by classroom teachers for NSTA’s Science Scope and Science & Children journals. It is a great resource for teaching elementary and middle level science!
